Passengers face longer waits at Manchester Airport as Middle East flight cancellations increase taxi demand and disrupt airport transfers.
Manchester Airport’s in a bit of a mess today. Flights to the Middle East? Cancelled. Some are still running. But barely. The conflict ain’t new. Yet it’s still throwing schedules off.
Emirates, Etihad, Qatar Airways – flying, kinda. Gulf Air? Nope. Pulled flights to and from Bahrain. Their site says it straight:
"Gulf Air flight operations? Temporarily suspended. Yep. The airline’s holding off. Waiting. Till Bahrain Civil Aviation Affairs gives the green light. Says it’s safe. Only then flights resume. Simple as that."
GF5 from Bahrain, 6:35am. Cancelled. GF4 to Bahrain, 10:15am. Cancelled too.
Passengers waiting. Taxis backing up. Drop-off points jammed. One of those mornings where nothing feels right.
Best advice? Check your airline before leaving. Give yourself extra time. Maybe try another way to get to the airport. Cause today, getting through Manchester Airport’s gonna take patience.
