A recent study reveals the UK airports with the best and worst car parks, analyzing customer ratings, safety, and quality to help travelers make informed choices.

Bristol Airport has been ranked among the best airports in the UK for car parking, according to a recent study conducted by motoring experts. The research analyzed multiple factors, including the number of car parks available, their average ratings, and the percentage of facilities rated four stars or higher. Bristol Airport secured the third position, with 82% of its car parks receiving high ratings.
East Midlands Airport was identified as the top airport for parking, boasting a 4.3 out of 5 average rating on Google, with all of its parking facilities rated four stars or higher. London City Airport followed closely behind, ranking second with an average rating of 4.2. Despite Bristol Airport achieving the highest individual car park rating, two of its parking facilities fell below the four-star threshold, placing it in third position.
Motoring analysts emphasized the importance of secure and well-reviewed parking facilities for travelers. Airport parking is a key concern for passengers, as it directly impacts the start and end of their journeys. The study highlights the growing demand for high-quality airport parking, with factors such as security, accessibility, and customer service playing a crucial role in passenger satisfaction.
Nyo Logan, tyre content manager at Blackcircles, commented:
"Going on holiday should be a relaxing time, and drivers should not have to worry about the condition their car will be in when they arrive back in the UK. If you plan to leave your car at an airport car park, it is recommended that you check recent reviews of the car park and ensure that it is a trustworthy and safe place."
Passengers are also advised to take precautions when leaving their vehicles at airport car parks. Experts recommend capturing photos of the vehicle and the surrounding area before departure and upon return. This can serve as evidence in the event of damage or disputes. Logan further advised that travelers should report any incidents to their insurance provider and seek CCTV footage from car park operators if needed.
Logan advised:
"If you arrive back to a damaged car, you should contact your insurance provider and ask the car park staff for any available CCTV. It is also advised to take photos of your vehicle and the surrounding area before you leave your car, as well as on your return."
He added:
"Note the time, date, and any relevant details about the car park conditions. If you suspect a crime such as vandalism or theft, you should report this to the police. You may be able to make a premises liability claim, so it is recommended that drivers consult with a solicitor."
The research also shed light on the airports with the lowest-rated parking facilities. Birmingham Airport ranked at the bottom, with only 12% of its car parks achieving four-star ratings or higher. Despite offering 17 parking facilities, the airport received an average rating of just 3.4 out of 5, signaling concerns about service quality and security measures.
With airport parking playing a crucial role in travel convenience and security, passengers are encouraged to consider airport rankings and customer reviews when selecting parking facilities. The latest research provides valuable insight into which UK airports prioritize safe and high-quality parking services for their travelers.
